The Lyon Family Foundation founded Lyon’s Way in 2021 to help adolescents and young adults afflicted with cancer. Partnered with University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital’s Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Oncology Program, Lyon’s Way aims to bring compassion and generosity to individuals and families facing a cancer diagnosis, with a focus on taking care of the “whole patient” while they are going through this challenging and unexpected time. Through grants and fundraising, the Foundation supports Comer’s AYA program in its long-term goal of reducing barriers to survivorship, while also having an individual impact on patients’ lives along the way.
